General Considerations for SIM’s

• Physical Stature and Condition -is the

subject heavy, muscular, or thin and
skeletal, age?

• A 250 pound muscular individual will more
than likely be physiologically effected less than
a 100 pound individual when both are struck in
the same target area.

• The blunt trauma effects and the potential for
penetration are much greater for the smaller
person.

General Considerations for SIM’s

• Immediate Surroundings

• Is there any person in the immediate area who
may be at risk of a deflected or missed shot?

• Identify your target, backstop and beyond.
